Entertaining at home is such a lovely experience, bringing together both treasured old and new friends; making new memories.  Food plays such a major role in the planning of an entertaining experience. We wanted to share our recent experiences of working with The Chef & His Wife on some fantastic intimate experiences at our members homes, which as really changed the concept of entertaining at home.

CookingThe Chef & His Wife
Chef, Jeff Turnbull developed a wealth of experience working alongside Dietmar Sawyere at Forty One and as the Executive Chef of the Aqua Dining Group and then opening High St. Bistro with his gorgeous wife.  After selling High St. Bistro in 2014, Jeff wanted to continue to share his wealth of knowledge and dining experiences with lovers of all things food.

Lets Cook Together
Our first experience had our Member and their guests working in the kitchen for a hands on cooking class to prepare their evenings menu.  Everyone had a role in taking an active part in preparing dishes for their evening ahead and got to enjoy the company of friends in their own home for a wonderful personal experience.  Each one of the guests received a personal menu booklet, apron and memories to take home.

Formal DinnerFine Dining at Home
There is something quite magical about a restaurant dining experience at home. Our member wanted to host a private dinner at home to celebrate finally completing their home renovations.   Our host and their guests regularly enjoy dining out and experience new restaurants so they wanted to create an intimate evening in their fabulous new home that had all the trimmings of a restaurant experience.

Jeff curated a french style 5 course menu and matching wines with our host, that were sure to dazzle her guests.  It was such a wonderful experience to design a menu tailored to your tastes and with your personal chef.

When we asked our member the highlight of the evening, for her ” being able to be a guest and enjoy my beautiful new home”.  The service of having the Chef & His Wife take care of the setting of the table, menu, full wait service and don’t forget the best part, they clean up at the end of the evening.  Many times when thinking about hosting a dinner party at home with a all encompassing menu, it does seem like the easier option would be to book a restaurant.  The Chef & His Wife really know how to help you create new memories.

Let’s Get Casual
Have you ever found yourself with 10 guests suddenly coming around for dinner and need to pull together a casual dinner, but when you start getting to 10 or more guests it just doesn’t feel casual anymore.    A member decided last minute to have a group of 20 friends around for dinner as they all happened to have Saturday night free. The Chef & His Wife created the perfect menu for a casual grab a plate catch up evening with friends at home.
