The Vault can host up to 32 guests guests for a seated dining experience that includes its own private bar for cocktails and wine service.
Maison Batard, 23 Bourke Street
Maison Bâtard is a celebration of modern French culture which has been imagined uniquely for Melbourne in a nod to the city’s golden era of hospitality. Careful and meticulous restoration has transformed the landmark heritage site at 23 Bourke Street into a four-level haven of immersive, French-accented dining and celebratory experiences; including a showpiece restaurant spanning the lower two floors, a late-night supper club in the basement and an elegant rooftop terrace.
Lee Ho Fook, 11-15 Duckboard Place
Originally located in Collingwood, Lee Ho Fook rapidly grew in popularity and moved to a larger site on Duckboard Place in the CBD in 2015, where their loyal following enjoys Victor’s unique and creative new-style Chinese dishes. Contemporary Chinese in an elegant dining room. Chef Victor Liong’s menu showcases the best of Australian producers, growers and winemakers, Chinese cuisine with traditional and modern techniques. The cuisine takes the legacy of deliciousness given to us by generations of Chinese Australians and it to a highly personal and creative direction.
Marmelo, 130 Russell Street
Marmelo is Ross & Sunny Lusted’s opulent take on Portugal and wood fired cooking, inspired by the small restaurants and bars of coastal Portugal and Spain where the markets, like Melbourne, are integral to the fabric of daily life. Known for cooking with wood and charcoal, Ross has centred Marmelo’s open kitchen around a custom-built charcoal grill and wood oven.
Guests are welcomed to Marmelo’s vibrant and energetic dining room amidst an array of traditional hand painted tiles reminiscent of the street of Lisbon, a jewellery-box-like glass wine room and original artworks by Lucy Roleff and Ben Mazey. Marmont, 8 Whiteman Street, Southbank
Californian inspired, and uniquely Melbourne. Marmont’s ambience reflects laid-back Californian glam, while the seafood centric menu is inspired by Latin American flavours and the Filipino American heritage of head chef Mark Tagnipez (ex Fonda and Supernormal). With direct access from the Riverwalk, Marmont overlooks the Yarra River and Melbourne skyline, bringing LA energy, favourite dishes and signature music programming to Marmont.
Morena, 71-73 Little Collins Street
The concept for Morena is born from Alejandro Saravia’s 15 year culinary mission to elevate Australian’s perceptions of Latin American cuisines, whilst staying true to the flavours of these diverse regions and respecting and preserving the rich cultural roots and traditional methods. Morena Restaurant’s interiors are inspired by the Caribbean coastal regions of Mexico and Central America. The menu has been designed to showcase the traditions and flavours of the various cultures across Latin America, including dishes from Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil and Cuba.
With a dedicated focus on seasonal produce, Morena continues Alejandro’s passion for working directly with farmers, producers and suppliers across Australia, whilst sourcing authentic ingredients from across Latin America to stay true to the true flavours of those cuisines. Private dining room can seat up to 35 guests.
Elio’s Place, 1/238 Flinders Lane
An all day European inspired bistro by dynamic siblings Adam and Elisa Mariani housed in the historic Flinders House. The breakfast menu guides city dwellers to embrace a European approach to their first meal of the day with a choice of sweet and savoury staples. Lunch and dinner includes shared plates for those keen to take pleasure in a sit-down meal, along with made-to-order sandwiches for those on the go.
The private dining room seating up to 35 guests features blue and gold hues, textured glass and a view to Manchester Lane, for sophisticated celebrations with family, friends or colleagues.
Society, 80 Collins Street
East & West are Society’s two luxuriously appointed private dining rooms named East and West perch above the Society Dining Room and represent the pinnacle of dining experiences. Each room can set up to 32 guests or combined to seat up to 60 guests.
The accompanying Lillian Brasserie is a vibrant yet elegant bar and restaurant. The euro style menu offering an ever-changing à la carte experience is available throughout the day, 7 days a week. The restaurant is named after the legendary Collins Street denizen, Lillian Wightman, and overlooks her former couture salon, Le Louvre. Soft timber walls, fringed lamps and curvy banquettes set the tone of natural warmth and effortless charm.
Reine & La Rue, 380 Collins Street
Housed in the original Melbourne stock exchange building dating back to 1890, formerly known as ‘The Cathedral Room’. Owners Al and Rebecca Yazbek have worked closely with Heritage Victoria to transform the former bank into the elegant new member of the Nomad dining Group. Reine & La Rue is influenced by French traditions and showcasing the finest produce from regional Victoria.
The restaurant can be booked for exclusive hire, seating up to 110 guests for an elegant dining experience or 150 guests for a standing reception.
La Rue, is an intimate dimly lit bar nestled in the contrast of the main dining room and perfect for a wine tasting or cocktail.
Gimlet, 33 Russell Street
In a landmark 1920s building on leafy Russell Street, the cocktail bar and dining room bring classic European charm to the heart of Melbourne.
Step into a world of nostalgia and glamour at the Chicago-style Cavendish House, a heritage gem lavishly reimagined by Andrew McConnell and Acme & Co. It’s a space for all seasons and reasons, from casual catch-ups at the bar to intimate booths and an elegant dining stage above the city streets. The menu, like the space, suits any occasion – from oysters and snacks to shared mains of premium wood-fired meats and seafood. Even a caviar service, if the mood takes you. The bar is a haven, almost a theatre – serving classic cocktails alongside an extensive list of benchmark world wines.
The Palm room set on the mezzanine with sweeping views over the restaurant, cocktail bar and leafy Russell Street is an intimate space seating 8 – 12 guests.
Supernormal, 180 Flinders Lane
A lively, all-day Asian inspired restaurant with contemporary cuisine and restaurants of Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong, classic dishes and new favourites. Dining at Supernormal is all about sharing great food and wine in a relaxed setting.
The Supernormal private dining room is an intimate space for seated events for up to 40 guests and 60 for a standing reception. The room is completely private with a 64″ screen.
Grill Americano, 112 Flinders Lane
Striking marble bar offers a fabulous place to meet for a cocktail before dinner. Located in Melbourne’s cool Flinders Lane, dining at Grill Americano you will experience classic Italian elegance with the finest Australian produce.
The heart of Chris Lucas’ glamorous Flinders Lane steakhouse is a hand-built wood oven, imported from Naples, and a Josper grill, a Spanish “legend in the world of charcoal gastronomy”. The menu offers delicate pastas, specially procured beef – including the rarest Wagyu breeds, fresh seafood and classic Italian desserts.
Lucas Restaurants is bringing the signature Italian elegance of Melbourne’s Grill Americano to Sydney, opening within Chifley Square’s Qantas House building in September 2025.
