The International is a multi-dimensional venue that draws energy from the precinct’s mid-century modern design, celebrates its place within the cultural epicentre of the CBD, and presents three distinctly international levels of hospitality reflecting Sydney’s progressive drinking and dining culture today. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a a social and culinary destination where the only rule is that that the food, the wine, and hand-crafted beverages must be delicious and of exceptional quality, and the service dedicated, inspire and authentic.

Across its three levels, The International plays host to a rotating line-up of experiences. Below, a look at what’s currently drawing Sydney in.

LOST IN THE F.O.G

The Wine Bar at The International presents: Lost in The F.O.G (Festival of Grenache).

A cult South Australian wine festival built around Grenache, good people and very long afternoons.

This Winter, Sydney gets a little Lost in the F.O.G.

Saturday 1 August | 2pm – 5pm

Now in it’s fourth year, Lost in the F.O.G has built a serious following in South Australia, the kind of event people plan weekends around. For the first time, it lands in Sydney, taking over The Wine Bar at the International for one afternoon only. More than 20 winemakers. Over 100 wines. One of Australia’s most-loved grenache festivals, now in Sydney for the first time. A big open roaming wine festival in the heart of the CBD, Lost in the F.O.G invites guests to move freely between producers, discover new favourites and taste at their own pace.

Tickets include unlimited tasting across some of Australia’s best Grenache producers, plus access to the Panorama Bar afterparty.

Established names sit alongside producers redefining the category, pulling Grenache away from weight and into something more precise, more drinkable, and frankly, more interesting. This is a rare chance to taste that evolution in one space with the people who actually make the wine.

Bringing together more than 20 wine makers, Lost in the F.O.G spans everyone from former Penfolds winemakers to multi – generational Barossa producers and the new wave reshaping Australian Grenache.

Meet producers like Alex Head, whose Rhône-inspired approach has helped redefine modern Barossa Grenache through old, high-altitude vineyards; Stephen Pannell, widely considered one of Australia’s defining Grenache voices, crafting benchmark wines from McLaren Vale’s best sites; Amelia Nolan of Alkina, working alongside farmed terroir expert Pedro Parra to map vineyards by soil and geology in obsessive detail; and Bernice Ong of Ministry of Clouds, quietly crafting some of McLaren Vale’s most finely tuned bush vine Grenache.
