This June long weekend, P&V Wine & Liquor Merchants and The Wine Bar at The International are teaming up to present Cult & Classic, a major showcase of contemporary New South Wales wine, food and culture in the heart of the CBD during Vivid Sydney.

Bringing together more than 30 winemakers from across the state and pouring over 100 wines, Cult & Classic will transform The Wine Bar at 25 Martin Place into a multi-level festival of food, wine, music and lights. Timed with the energy of the June long weekend and Vivid Sydney illuminating the city surrounds, it’s set to become the CBD’s ultimate urban cellar door party, a place to discover some of the state’s most exciting producers without ever leaving the city.

Wine writer, presenter and co-owner of P&V Wine + Liquor Merchants, Mike Bennie, is teaming up with Food & Beverage Director Alex Kirkwood and Head Sommelier Jacqueline Turner to bring Cult & Classic to life. Together, they have hand-picked a stellar line-up of producers and wines that showcase the breadth of contemporary NSW wine — from cult producers and emerging labels redefining their regions to established icons with devoted followings.

With no shortage of great wines to try and new favourites to find, guests will have the chance to taste widely, meet the makers and discover the energy and diversity of the state’s wine scene in a relaxed, party-like atmosphere. Designed for passionate wine lovers and newcomers alike, Cult & Classic is all about bringing people together over amazing wine, good food and the culture that surrounds it.

To fuel the festivities throughout the afternoon, Hey Rosey (Orange) will team up with The Wine Bar’s very own Head Chef, Gabriel Del Conti (ex-Ragazzi), for a one-day-only menu of snacks and dishes not to be missed. The tiny-but-mighty regional wine bar, awarded one Chef’s Hat in the 2026 Good Food Guide, has built a strong following for its standout food, sharp wine offering and intimate, living-room-like atmosphere, with chef Hugh Piper — formerly of Dear Sainte Éloise — leading the charge.

As the sun sets and Vivid Sydney lights up the city, Sydney’s best DJs will soundtrack the afternoon and into the evening, while immersive light installations transform The Wine Bar into a high-energy wine party in the heart of Martin Place.

The celebration continues upstairs with a rooftop afterparty in Panorama Bar, where DJs will keep the long weekend atmosphere going late into the evening.

Tickets are $45 per person, including entry into the event, a tasting glass and access to 100+ wines on pour, with the opportunity to revisit favourites and purchase bottles from an onsite bottle shop on the day.
