After unforgettable events on WA's Abrolhos Islands and at Cygnet Bay, we're bringing Pearls and Plates to Broken Bay for the very first time this October.
This won't be your usual lunch.
It's a collaboration between pearl and oyster farmers across the country, including Pearls of Autralia's friends at Liddon Pearls of the Abrolhos Islands, and the team from their remote Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. It's a celebration of people, place and produce, shaped by the stories of three iconic pearling regions.
Here's what makes it truly unique:
You'll begin your journey at the Broken Bay Pearl Farm Shellar Door in Mooney Mooney, where we'll welcome you aboard a boat for a scenic transfer past working oyster leases. Your destination? A secret riverfront homestead, nestled in a rustic, water-access-only location that belongs to one of the region's longest-standing families.
There, you'll enjoy a six-course seasonal menu created by acclaimed WA chef Guy Jeffreys, paired with Australian wines, and inspired by the region's wild, local ingredients, including our Sydney rock and Akoya pearl oysters. You'll have the rare opportunity to connect with the farmers who cultivate our local pearls, and be part of a gathering where creativity, stories, food, and place come together.
You'll also have the option to join a pearl masterclass at the Shellar Door before the event, with Pearl of Autralia's head Pearl Grader and Executive Manager, Penny Arrow (limited places).
The team at Pearls of Australia like to think that taking people to extraordinary places they would otherwise not be able to get to, and hosting a unique dining experience in great company, is something to celebrate.
Tickets are now available, with limited seating across two lunch events:
Saturday 25 October & Sunday 26 October
